End of Life Doula Services
Serving Central Massachusetts
My name is Lisa, and I am so honored that you are here to learn how I can support you in this very personal and sacred time of your life. The intimate relationship I experienced with my mom and her death, in 2010, was the catalyst for my journey here; my higher calling to support and guide people through a meaningful end of life.
Are you wondering what an end of life doula is? Maybe you've heard of a birth doula, someone who supports during pregnancy, the birth process, and after. This exceptionally transitional time in life can be messy, painful, sometimes long, and tiring, but it can also be beautiful, loving, spiritual and one of the most important and meaningful times for a family. Very much like death.
My goal and purpose is to take the same supportive and loving principles and practices that doulas provide to the beginning of life and apply them to the end of life. I am a registered nurse, an educator, a wife, mother and daughter, among other things. I am a certified End of Life Doula through Lifespan Doulas and earned my proficiency badge through the National End of Life Doula Alliance. It is my passion and privilege to serve the end of life community and their loved ones through one of the most important and meaningful transitions of life.
"Death is not the opposite of life, but a part of it." -Haruki Murakami
